Few things are as frustrating as the music app on your iPhone or iPad not working properly. Below is a possible fix.
If you are using iOS 5 Beta 6 or 7, your iTunes purchases no longer play:
Connect your device to iTunes;
Under the music tab, go to the section labeled "manually entered";
Remove those songs, & re-sync. If you sync your 'purchased' playlist, they should stay on your device.
I'm always interested in what applications people have on their iPhones. Have you rearranged your phones apps based on how you work? I've preserved most of the home screen for the iPhone's core functions, but I've added my top 4 apps: Omnifocus, NetNewsWire, Evernote, and Tweetie.
My second screen is the majority of my news & entertainment apps. The last screen is games & apple apps I can't delete.
Those are my top apps. What are yours?
Ken Rockwell has a great post on how to add your contact info to your phone's lock screen, so someone who finds it can find you.
How to put your info on your iphone lock screen.
I've created a photshop file to help you get started. you can add your favorite background as a new layer.
Over the last few weeks, there has been much speculation about the possibilty that Apple would unveil a new model of the iPhone. An analyst report earlier this week and published by Macrumors.com contained the following suggested specs:
What would such an edge-only iPhone look like? I think we have a pretty good idea already:
My first two weeks with the iPhone 3G are over, and I don't know how I got by so long without it. Right now, I'm writing this on my way to the metro. Last weekend, I was walking the dog, listening to music, took a call from Jenn, stuck in traffic on I-95. I was able to talk to her, look up her location on google maps, check the traffic and direct her to an alternate route, all from my iPhone.
It's like waking up in the future.
Well, the European announcements came and went, and the iPhone is still only running EDGE+wifi.
I was hoping that the announcement would usher in a true 3G iphone, but it looks like I'll have to wait now. Maybe there will be a new one announced in January when Macworld rolls around. I'm also waiting for new Cinema Displays to be announced. My request for a Mac pro at work was approved, but I've been holding off ordering it until new displays came out.
